Why exactly would having eight legs be good for anything? I mean, octopi have eight tentacle-ish-type-things, and where does it get them? Nowhere. Imagine how difficult it would be to have eight limbs protruding from your body in all manner of weird and wonderful angles and areas. It must really get on their nerves. And spiders too. But they're just yucky in every way possible, so I guess having eight legs just makes sure that they're as scary as possible. As far as I know, youths, apples and IBM have only five limbs each, so they're waaay more normal.
Wow. I've had the same battery in my minidisc player for over a month and it still hasn't run out...
Scorpions. They're poisonous. So they're the worst ones. See, octopi squirt ink, spiders make webs and stuff, and scorpions are poisonous. I think it's quite clear that these eight-legged creatures of sorts are taking over the world. But what the hey, we had it for a few thousand years.
